KESK 2nd Women's Congress,
‘We organIze our promIse; we change lIfe’
21-23 October, 2004, Ankara.
The purpose of the KESK 2nd Women’s Congress under the slogan ‘We organize our promise, we change life’ on 21-23 October 2004 in Ankara, with the participation of 250 delegates, with the aim of ‘raising awareness, questioning and changing’, was defined as follows:
- To strengthen women workers and women’s organizations in the union and social field,
- Developing solidarity networks with the women’s movement.
Congress discussion agenda topics:
- Capitalist globalization and women
- Union organizing, positive action and empowerment policies
- Politics and women
- Women’s policies against militarism
- Women and Culture
At the end of the congress, the current policies and action plan of KESK on gender equality were determined.
